A huge assortment and variety of lures come under the classification of Hard Baits. There is a Hard Bait for every species of fish and perhaps some for nonexistent fish too. Part of the problem is that manufacturers must compete to get your business and so they are constantly turning out new models. During the development, they test and tweak the new model in order to have it perform just a bit better than their older models

They utilize new technology to get ahead of their competition and thus gain a greater share of new sales. We are beginning to see lures that use miniature lights and sound to augment their action in the water. Did deep in your pockets if you want to be on the leading edge, those baits are not cheap.
